Chelsea are coming off of a 1-1 draw in midweek against Leicester City. On Sunday, the Blues will host Watford at Stamford Bridge to close out the campaign.
Watford are set to play Championship football next term. The Hornets are 19th in the league standings and could finish at the bottom of the table with a loss or draw to Chelsea and a Norwich City win against Tottenham.

Chelsea picked up just two wins from their last six games in the league. Thomas Tuchel’s team has been up and down in the second half of the season. Nine points were taken by Chelsea in the last six games.
The Blues scored eight goals and conceded five times across the last six matches. Goals have dried up at Stamford Bridge. Romelu Lukaku was supposed to arrive at Stamford Bridge and provide goals, but the Belgian has flatly failed.
Watford failed to win any of their last six games. They picked up a mere one point from the last 18 points available to them. The Hornets scored just four goals in the last six games while conceding 15 times.
Chelsea have an excellent record of 5W-0D-1L against Watford in all competitions over the course of their last six encounters. The Blues outscored Watford 13-7. There were 22 yellow cards and one red card during that time period.
Tuchel’s team won 2-1 at Vicarage Road earlier this season. Mason Mount and Hakim Ziyech scored on either side of an Emmanuel Dennis goal. Mount not only scored the opener, but he assisted Ziyech’s strike.
Chelsea simply do not lose to Watford at Stamford Bridge. The Londoners have won nine of their last 10 home matches against Watford in all competitions.
Tuchel has five players in the treatment room at Stamford Bridge ahead of the fixture. Ben Chilwell and Callum Hudson-Odoi are both ruled out of action due to injury. Meanwhile, Timo Werner, Andreas Christensen, and Mateo Kovacic are all major doubts due to injury.
Chelsea are likely to have several players leave in the summer including Antonio Rudiger, Marcos Alonso, and Cesar Azpilicueta. All three have been major parts of Chelsea’s success over the years. Fans will give the trio a big send off.
The Blues should have no problem winning a 10th match out of 11 tries at home versus Watford. Chelsea’s form may have dipped in the second half of the season, but they simply get results at home versus Watford.
