Roma Expected to Ease to a Win Against Title-Killers Bologna

Roma will play hosts to an in-form Bologna at the Stadio Olimpico not long after the away side here caused arguably the upset of the season with a stunning victory against Inter Milan that exploded the title race into chaos.

It looked as if Bologna were going to have a long day at the office on home soil when they met with Inter on Wednesday when Ivan Perisic scored a stunner inside five minutes.

Marko Arnautovic soon equalised, and a howler from stand-in keeper, Ionuț Radu, handed all three points to the home side as Nicola Sansone tapped home from centimeters out.

The result also kept Bologna in 13th in the table with 11 wins now on the board and 14 losses too. Worse yet, they have scored only 39 goals after the win over Inter across their 34 fixtures.

It now leaves them with 48 goals conceded too, and with a four-point gap to make up on the top 10 to break into the top half.

The victory also saw a rare win for Siniša Mihajlović's men in 2022, as they had previously beaten only Sampdoria and Spezia in this calendar year.

The club did manage to get a commendable draw away to Juventus two weeks ago too, before they drew 2-2 with an in-form Udinese last weekend.

As for Roma, they come into this one off the back of a relatively positive draw away to Leicester City in the Europa Conference League after Lorenzo Pellegrini scored once more this season.

Jose Mourinho now has to juggle a potential route into the final of the competition and a fight to stay in the Europa League spot, as they trail Juventus by eight points in the table in the Champions League race.

Roma are also in need of three points here for their own confidence, as they were battered 3-1 by Inter Milan last weekend, not long after they failed to beat Napoli in a 1-1 draw a few days prior.

Mourinho's side do still boast 17 wins in the league this season, and with 10 losses on their record too, they remain two points clear of their rivals Lazio.

Forebet predicts a relatively comfortable game here for Roma and for the club to get the win and see under 2.5 goals, with them only winning one game with over 2.5 goals in the match since they beat Lazio 3-0 in Serie A.
