Leicester and Roma Set for a Tense Draw at the King Power in the Europa Conference League

The Europa Conference League will play hosts to its first ever set of semi-finals this Thursday as Leicester City welcome Roma to the King Power Stadium with the two arguably the favourites in their own right to lift the trophy.

The Foxes have been excellent in the Europa Conference League this season, and from the very beginning of the knockout rounds, they have established themselves as a threat to win the competition's inaugural title.

Leicester did manage to end up in the Europa Conference League by the simple fact of them finishing third in the Europa League group stages.

They would then meet with Randers in the play-off rounds, as they went on to win 7-2 on aggregate after demolishing them over both legs.

A tense affair with an in-form Ligue 1 outfit, Rennes, would come next, and the club would go onto edge past the French outfit by the mere goal after a 2-0 win on home soil.

PSV Eindhoven were up next in the quarter-finals, and following on from a lacklustre 0-0 display at the King Power, Leicester would win 2-1 in the Netherlands thanks to quickfire goals from James Maddison and Ricardo Pereira late in the second half.

For Roma, not quite the same can be said with their run through the competition and their confidence in getting the job done here.

They did ease through the group stages by losing just once, but it was a 6-1 hammering at the hands of Bodo/Glimt. On the other hand, they met with the Norwegian side who they couldn't defeat in the group stages just recently in the quarter-finals.

Once again, however, Bodo/Glimt seemed to have Jose Mourinho's number as they beat Roma in Norway 2-1 in the first leg.

When they met again a week on, the Serie A giants thrashed them 4-0, as Tammy Abraham levelled the tie within five minutes, before Nicolo Zaniolo made it 4-0 with a hat-trick at the Stadio Olimpico.

Mourinho’s men did immediately fall back into the winless column in the following games, however, with them drawing 1-1 with Napoli and then losing 3-1 to Inter Milan.

At the same time, Leicester’s current form after their win against PSV is equally as poor, making this game here a tough one to call.

Newcastle United, Everton and Aston Villa have all taken points from the Foxes since, meaning they have won only once in their past four games. Forebet predicts a draw here and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
