Bottom-placed Levante will look to get just their fourth win of the campaign when they play hosts to Villarreal at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia will relegation to the Segunda Division all but secured for the home side.

It has been one of the worst La Liga seasons on record for Levante who have been bottom of the league table for most of the 2021/22 campaign and had very little hope of getting out of the relegation zone and staying within La Liga for next season.

Currently, the club have registered only three wins in the division with 10 draws and 16 losses coming their way, and ironically, neither of them are the worst in La Liga with Deportivo Alaves losing more games than them just above.

Alessio Lisci's men have, however, let in 58 goals in just 29 games all season long now which is one of the worst defensive records across Europe's top five leagues.

They have managed to score 31 of their own, which is applaudable considering that is more than sixth-placed Real Sociedad who are still challenging for a Champions League spot.

Levante also returned to losing ways last time out when they were defeated 3-1 by Osasuna, which did come after they bagged a draw against Espanyol. Back in late February was the last time the club registered a victory in La Liga, as they stunningly beat Elche 3-0.

Regardless, they still are eight points away from safety with nine games left to play, and although still far from a mathematical conclusion, their form across the season barely gives them hope of picking up enough points.

Villarreal are back in the losing column too after they lost to Cadiz away from home, which did push them out of the European spots and into seventh not long after they stunned Juventus in Turin with a 3-0 win.

That famous Champions League night came after a run of just one game with a win in La Liga as they edged past Celta Vigo following on from a loss to Osasuna.

What has been the most impressive thing about Unai Emery's men this season though has been their defensive record where they've let in only 27 goals all league campaign.

With many of their games showing under 2.5 goals, Forebet predicts an away win for Villarreal and for the game to see under 2.5 goals as they reignite their fight for Europe.
