AZ Picerno will welcome Città di Campobasso to the Stadio Alfredo Viviani as we approach the end of the Serie C season with both teams slumped into mid-table in Group C and a distance off making it into the top six of the table at this stage.
Both are right next to each other in the table here, but Campobasso have been in slightly better form than previously shown in 2022 as of late. The club would lose to Foggia last time out 5-2 as Francesco Bonta and Mattia Rossestti scored for them.

Just prior to this, however, the club won three of their past five games as they beat Latina 2-0 thanks to goals from Michael Liguori. Just prior to this, a 1-1 draw would come against Catania while also registering another 2-0 victory against Messina.
Dating back to February, Campobasso would pick up two more wins in Serie C to move further away from the bottom three and move into 14th. The recent wins from Mirko Cudini's men have now put them on 10 wins and 10 draws from 32 games, with a further 12 defeats.
Better yet though for Campobasso, they now still have one game in hand over Picerno to which if they win here and their game in hand, will be ahead of them in the table and they would also move into the top 10 of the table.
Picerno, having played 33 games, have had just seven draws and registered 12 wins, but with their 14 victories they are still in relatively decent form across the Serie C season.
They are, however, back in the losing column after a defeat to Avellino on home soil last time out and need to win here to avoid slipping further away from the bottom half.
Prior to this, they played against Virtus Francavilla where Giacomo Parigi scored a late winner for Picerno to end what was a four-game winless run that brought in two draws and two defeats.
On home ground here against Campobasso, though, there is very little separating either side and it is set to be a close encounter.
Forebet predicts a draw between these two with the topsy-turvy form not favouring either side in attempting to get consecutive wins throughout the season.
At the same time, with only 73 goals scored from their combined 65 games in Serie C this campaign, Forebet predicts the game to see under 2.5 goals.
