Domestic action continues in Chile as two sides look to kick on from what has been a troubling start in the division for both with Unión Española travelling to the Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Pradanos to clash with Universidad de Chile.

The season is just seven games in for most in the Chilean Primera Division, but with this game between the two being postponed earlier in the season, they will now face off with each other during the international break before action resumes as normal next week.

This does mean each of Universidad de Chile and Unión Española have a game in hand on those around them, for which if Universidad de Chile win, they will move up into eighth and potentially into seventh if a better goal difference can be achieved in the process.

Unión Española, however, will move into fourth and potentially into third if their goal difference can improve too, as a win also takes them level with second-placed giants Colo-Colo, and two behind the league leaders, Cobresal.

Form has, however, been a bit of a struggle for Universidad de Chile so far. The club have so far won just twice from their six games in the Chilean Primera Division, meaning they've lost three and drawn another game.

This has meant they have only scored a concerning 10 goals so far from six games, while also letting in 12.

Curico Unido drew with them in the last game, and with Universidad Catolica after this one too, a win is vital here in order to keep their distance on the bottom half of the table and keep up a fight for challenging within the top four.

Colo-Colo also beat them 4-2, just after O'Higgins defeated them 1-0, which followed a 3-2 victory by Nublense.

It does now mean the club are winless in their past four games and are desperate to win here in order to keep up an early fight for the Copa Sudamericana spots.

Unión Española are up into fifth after they defeated Nublense 1-0 last time out, which came off the back of them losing their Copa Sudamerican two-legged affair with Antofagasta.

Espanola did lose the first leg 2-1, but a 1-0 win sent the game to penalties where Antofagasta reigned supreme.

In the league, however, they’ve lost only once and their form looks good enough to earn three points here once more. Forebet predicts the game to see over 2.5 goals and for Espanola to win the match.
