The Spanish second tier action continues on Sunday and features this upcoming clash between bottom half outfits, Malaga and Huesca, at the Estadio La Rosaleda with a precious three points up for grabs for both sides.
Malaga currently occupy 17th place in the La Liga 2 standings and although they possess a comfortable looking seven-point cushion above the bottom four and the relegation zone.

The fact that the hosts have managed to achieve just one win out of their last 10 matches overall, doesn’t fill one with much confidence in the home side here.
Indeed, the bigger picture shows Malaga have picked up just two wins from their previous 15 games overall, both of which were registered away from home in the form of victories on the road at Alcorcon and Amorebieta.
While results on home soil at their Estadio La Rosaleda have taken a turn for the worse.
Following an impressive run of results at home which saw Malaga put together a 10-match unbeaten sequence, the hosts have since slumped to seven games without a win, losing four of these.
Onto Huseca and the visitors have fared a little better than their hosts as they recorded a 1-0 home win over Burgos in last weekend’s fixture.
And although results overall this season have been inconsistent, Huesca sit in 15th place and hold a four-point cushion over Malaga prior to Sunday’s clash at the Estadio La Rosaleda.
Huesca’s inconsistent streak in La Liga 2 is perfectly illustrated when looking at their last 10 matches overall; W4, L4, D2 have seen the visitors gain wins over FC Cartagena, Mirandes, Lugo and Burgos but they’ve also slipped to losses against Ponferradina, Eibar, Ibiza and Alcorcon as well.
Results away from home have also been of a tentative nature as Huesca have managed just two wins out of their last 10 games on their travels whilst also being handed four defeats, three of which have come in their last four outings on the road.
However, it’s not all doom and gloom where Huesca are concerned as they have held the upper hand in previous exchanges against their upcoming hosts, Malaga, winning two of their previous three meetings but with recent results in mind, perhaps the most likely outcome for this clash could be a draw.
