Napoli will look to get back in the win column following on from a devastating 1-0 loss to AC Milan on home soil which threw the Naples outfit off the top spot in Serie A just as Hellas Verona remained in ninth with a draw to Fiorentina.
Luciano Spalletti’s men were on cloud nine just two weeks ago when they stunningly came back to beat Lazio in the 94th minute thanks to a fantastic Fabian Ruiz strike.
This fight to stay at the top of Serie A crumbled, though, despite the incredible feeling running around the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
Oliver Giroud was the difference when Milan won in Naples, and they now trail the San Siro side by three points in this incredible title race in Serie A.
On the other hand, despite falling short in the must-win game, Napoli have a favourable run coming up in Serie A, and it starts with trying to push Hellas Verona back into the bottom half with a victory here.
Verona have been just about as topsy-turvy as it gets in Serie A this season, as sometimes it looks as if they can latch onto some form and push for a place inside the top, only to lose a and draw a couple of games which throws them back towards the bottom half.
They currently sit ninth in the table after a draw with Fiorentina, which means the Florence side stayed ahead of them in the table. As has been the case all season long though, Verona have still been involved in high-scoring battles once more.
A 4-0 win over Udinese, a 3-1 win over Venezia, and a 2-2 draw with Roma have all come in recent weeks for them, while Juventus also managed to beat them 2-0 back in February too.
It now leaves them with 11 wins, eight draws and nine defeats with a fantastic 53 goals on the board - this is only bettered by Lazio and Milan in the league.
Napoli have shown one thing this season above all: resilience. In fact, they’ve arguably done this more so than the rest of the title contenders with their stunning comeback victories over the likes of Lazio.
With this in mind, they simply cannot be overlooked for a second in this title race.
Hellas Verona do have a great goalscoring record and could be involved in a high-scoring game here, but Napoli’s resolve and execution to stay in this title race has been more than commendable, and Forebet predicts they will get back to winning ways here and see the game have over 2.5 goals.
