Lyon will be attempting to continue their excellent run of form this weekend as they welcome Rennes to the Groupama Stadium as the away side look to get back on track after a damning loss in the Europa Conference League.
Lyon have slowly begun to turn things around in their torrid season so far that has seen them seriously struggle in the post-Memphis Depay era.

The club still sat ninth in the table, but given the outrageously close battle for the European spots, they sit only six places of third-placed Marseille.
Peter Bosz’s men cannot afford to drop points again, and they must continue on in this stint of form if they are to get back in the Champions League for next season or the Europa League at a bare minimum.
The club are on a three-game winning streak right now which has seriously ignited their quest this season, and with a 2-0 win over second-placed Nice back in early February, they have now experienced only one defeat in their past five games across all competitions.
Lens would take a point from them shortly after, but with a 1-0 loss to the champions Lille, a 4-1 win away to Lorient and then a fantastic 1-0 victory over Porto in the Europa League would seemingly get everything back on track.
Lyon can get back into the top six with a win here as long as other results go their way, as they need Monaco, Lille, and Nantes all to drop points. However, with only a +5 goal difference, they need to get the points on the board more than anything to close the gap on Rennes here.
Rennes are indeed occupying fourth right now in the midst of one of their best seasons to date in Ligue 1, however, following on from a 2-0 loss in the Europa Conference League to Leicester City, they have work to do to get back into the win column against an in-from Lyon.
Back in France though, the club are on a three-game winning run after scoring 10 goals and conceding only three inside three games. This involved a 4-1 win over Troyes, a 4-2 win over Montpellier, and a 2-0 win over Angers.
Lyon’s form does, however, look too good right now with the likes of Moussa Dembele continuing to grab goals along with Romain Faivre. Forebet predicts a win for the home side here in a game that will see 2.5 goals, as the incredibly close fight for Europe continues in Ligue 1.
