Liverpool are still in the Premier League title fight despite being nine points behind Manchester City. The Reds could reel the Cityzens in this weekend with a win against Norwich City at home.

Manchester City will face a difficult task on Sunday with Tottenham Hotspur arriving at the Etihad Stadium.

A Liverpool win over Norwich City would bring them within six points of Manchester City and turn up the pressure on Pep Guardiola’s team. Norwich City are aiming for a win of their own at Anfield and Dean Smith will make life difficult for the Reds.

Norwich City start the weekend in 18th place in the Premier League table. Four points separate Norwich City and 17th-place Newcastle United. The Canaries experienced a recent surge in form but are now two matches without a win. The bottom of the table is very close and Norwich City need a win.

Getting a win at Anfield is easier said than done. Liverpool have posted a Premier League home record of 8W-3D-0L. The Reds are the only team in the Premier League not to lose at home this season. Liverpool have scored 27 goals and conceded a mere six times at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s team is coming off of a 2-0 win at San Siro against Inter Milan in the Champions League round of 16 first leg on Wednesday.

The Reds weathered an Inter storm and came out thanks to two late goals from Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

Klopp won’t have Diogo Jota after the forward injured his ankle in midweek. Klopp has the options of Luis Diaz, Sadio Mane, Firmino, Salah, Divock Origi, or Takumi Minamino to play in attack.

Norwich City manager Smith is without first-choice goalkeeper Tim Krul, who has a shoulder injury. Angus Gunn will play in Krul’s place. Jakob Sorensen and Andrew Omobamidele are ruled out of the match.

Adam Idah, Lukas Rupp, Ozan Kabak are all three major doubts to make the squad to face Liverpool. Norwich City have scored the fewest goals in the league with just 14. Meanwhile, they have allowed the most goals with 50.

Saturday’s kickoff at Anfield will be the third meeting between the clubs this season. Liverpool went to Carrow Road to start the season and won 3-0 thanks to goals from Jota, Firmino, and Salah.

The teams met again in the EFL Cup with Liverpool winning 3-0 thanks to goals from Minamino, Origi, and Minamino. Regardless of which forwards play, Liverpool should score and win. Can Liverpool win 3-0 for a third time this season against Norwich City? We think so.
