Nantes and PSG meet in Ligue 1 in Saturday night’s clash at the Stade de la Beaujoire with the hosts looking to post back-to-back wins in the domestic top flight following last weekend’s 1-0 home win over Reims.
Nantes hold home advantage once again on Saturday evening but this upcoming task against the runaway Ligue 1 leaders, PSG, looks to be a much tougher assignment for Nantes despite the hosts moving up the table into 9th place and being just two points behind the top five pack.

Nantes have registered just two wins out of their last five games overall which came in the form of wins against Lorient and Reims who both occupy places in the bottom half of the Ligue 1 table but recent results at home will serve as a boost for Nantes.
The hosts have lost just one of their last nine games at their Stade de la Beaujoire which was a 1-0 loss to Marseille but Nantes have also picked up six wins in the process, but only the 3-2 home win over 8th placed Lens was against top half opposition.
PSG possess an extremely strong looking 13-point cushion at the top of the domestic top flight over 2nd placed Marseille prior to this weekend’s slate of fixtures in Ligue 1 and the visitors will be going in search of a fifth league win on the trot on Saturday night.
Recent victories over Brest, Reims, Lille and Rennes have resulted in PSG further extending their lead at the summit of the French top flight as the visitors look intent upon setting the record straight this season after losing out on the league title by a single point to Lille in the previous campaign.
The bigger picture shows that PSG have lost just once in their last 31 matches overall in Ligue 1 which includes an incredible 24 wins within this impressive period of results.
PSG have also lost just one of their last 20 games on the road and have picked up 14 wins in the process while the visitors also possess a decent record against Nantes in previous exchanges.
The Paris-based outfit have won four out of the previous five encounters against their hosts and it’s difficult to see them not gaining the upper hand in this clash as well.
