The English Premier League dishes up a tasty London derby on Sunday as Chelsea welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea come into this one sitting third in the Premier League table – one points behind second-place Liverpool and seven points ahead of fourth-place West Ham.

As for Spurs, they find themselves fifth – eight points behind Chelsea – with four games in hand over their rivals.

Chelsea head into Sunday’s showdown on the back of a 1-1 draw with Brighton. Despite taking the lead midway through the first half, they were second best after the break.

That means Thomas Tuchel’s side have failed to win any of their last four Premier League games, having recorded three draws and a loss since their last victory.

When you look at the bigger picture, the Blues have only managed to win one of their previous seven league outings – registering five draws and a defeat in that time.

Chelsea have lost just three of their 23 Premier League matches this season. However, they have been held to far too many draws recently.

On the flip side, Tottenham mounted a remarkable comeback to overcome Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Wednesday.

Trailing 2-1 deep into stoppage time, Steven Bergwijn netted a 95th-minute equaliser before scoring the winner on 97 minutes.

Spurs are now enjoying a nine-match unbeaten streak in the Premier League, having picked up six wins and three draws since their last loss.

There is absolutely no denying that Antonio Conte’s appointment has transformed Tottenham. With several games in hand, they will be confident of breaking into the top four.

Head-to-head: Chelsea and Spurs met in the EFL Cup semi-finals earlier this month. The Blues advanced to the finals with a 3-0 aggregate victory.

Not only have Chelsea won each of their past four meetings with Tottenham across all competitions, but they have also won eight of their previous ten encounters.

Team news: With Edouard Mendy away at the Africa Cup of Nations, Kepa will continue to deputize between the sticks for Chelsea.

Unfortunately, the Blues will also be without the injured defensive trio of Recce James, Ben Chilwell and Trevoh Chalobah on Sunday.

As for Tottenham, they are still without Son Heung-min, Eric Dier and Cristiano Romero through injury. Sergio Reguilon is also a doubt for this weekend.

While the history books tell us that Chelsea should win on Sunday, the recent form guide suggests that Tottenham could upset the odds.

With that in mind, Forebet predicts that Chelsea and Spurs will play out a draw at Stamford Bridge, with both teams scoring over 1.5 goals.
