Brentford will aim to end a run of five losses in six Premier League games when they host Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Wolves will be looking to record their third consecutive victory and extend their unbeaten streak to five games in the process.

The Wanderers currently find themselves eighth in the Premier League table – eight points ahead of fourteenth-place Brentford.

Brentford were beaten 3-1 by Manchester United on Wednesday. Despite racking up 18 shots – eight of which were on target – they wasted far too many opportunities.

The Bees have now lost each of their previous three league matches, having fallen to Southampton and Liverpool before meeting Man Utd.

Worse still, they have lost five of their last six. After making a solid start to the season, they have been on the slide in recent weeks.

If Thomas Frank’s men don’t turn things around soon, they could find themselves involved in a relegation battle.

On the flip side, Wolves have won each of their last three outings across all competitions. After seeing off Man Utd, they beat Sheffield United in the FA Cup before overcoming Southampton.

The Wanderers have now lost just two of their previous nine Premier League clashes, picking up four wins and three draws in the process.

Having conceded just 15 goals in 20 games, Bruno Lage’s men boast the second-best defensive record in the division.

Only Manchester City have conceded fewer goals than Wolves this season. That tells you everything you need to about their resilience.

Head-to-head: Back in September, Brentford claimed a 2-0 victory over Wolves at Molineux in the reverse fixture.

However, Wolves have won three of their past five meetings with Brentford in all competitions – scoring over 2.5 goals on two occasions.

Team news: Brentford will be without Frank Onyeka on Saturday as the Nigerian is away at AFCON. Joshua Dasilva, David Raya and Tarique Foster are all on Brentford’s injury list.

Wolves’ Romain Saiss is also on AFCON duty. Pedro Neto, Jonny Castro, Hwang Hee-chan and Willy Boly are all injured.

These two sides have been moving in opposite directions of late. While Wolves have been climbing the table, Brentford have been falling.

Forebet predicts that Wolves will beat Brentford on Saturday. Given their outstanding defensive record, the visitors are also likely to keep a clean sheet.
