The French top flight action continues on Sunday and an afternoon clash between Troyes and Lyon in Ligue 1 at the Stade de l’Aube with the hosts searching for a result of some sort in order to plug the leaks that are starting to appear following just one win from their last eight matches overall.
Troyes managed to register a 2-0 home win against Lorient back in early December but that’s been the hosts’ only highlight in the past couple of months as five defeats within this period have dominated their recent results.

Losses to Lens, St Etienne, Marseille, Lille and Bordeaux have resulted in Troyes dropping down to 16th place in the Ligue 1 standings and indeed the hosts now find themselves just one point above Lorient who sit third from bottom and occupying the relegation play-off spot.
Results on home soil though have at least been more encouraging for Troyes who have lost just two out of their last eight games with the draw dominating this sequence with no fewer than four stalemates.
Lyon have also been involved in a spate of stalemates in recent times in Ligue 1 as the visitors have drawn each of their last four games overall in the domestic top flight, sharing the points with Bordeaux, Lille, Metz and PSG respectively.
Results throughout this season’s Ligue 1 campaign have been a mixed bag where Lyon have been concerned so perhaps it’s no surprise to find Lyon sitting in a mid-table position of 11th place on the top flight ladder.
However, Lyon have suffered just three defeats out of their last 13 matches overall with losses incurred against Nice, Rennes and Reims while also picking up four wins in the process as well.
Victories over Troyes, Monaco, Lens and Montpellier have at least prevented Lyon from slipping any further down the Ligue 1 table, while six draws have also seen Lyon pick up useful points if they’re not gaining wins.

With just two away wins from their nine games on the road though to date this term, the prospects of an away win here seems to hang in the balance with the option of using the handicap on the visitors looking the more prudent choice.
To sum up, the draw has featured on a regular basis for both Troyes and Lyon and another stalemate could be on the cards again on Sunday.
