C.S Maritimo will be looking to bounce back from their stunning 7-1 defeat to Benfica as they face a Vizela who themselves were thrashed by a title contender when they lost 4-0 to Porto last time around.

Although it is no great shame losing to both Benfica and Porto if you play in Portugal, losing to them by such a devastating margin is extremely telling for these two sides that are set to fight relegation in the Primeira Liga.

As of now, there is just a point separating Vizela in 13th and Maritimo in 10th and with Famalicao in the relegation play-off spot having only 11 points, both clubs could be sucked right into the centre of the relegation battle if they were to lose here or if other results go against them.

In reality, other than the three points that Maritimo have over the 13th-placed side, not much has really been different for either side in this year's Primeira Liga.

The 10th-placed outfit currently sit with 26 goals conceded and just the 18 scored from 15 games, which is the third most from those inside the bottom half.

On the other hand, Vizela have scored four less with 14 goals, but also conceded an alarming 25 from 14 games. Worse yet, they’ve won only two games thus far, which is just the one less than that of Maritimo, who thrashed Santa Clara 4-1 earlier this month in what was easily their best result of the season.

Julio Velázquez's men also boast a solid win over Pacos Ferreira as well in recent games, as they won 2-0 here to break a 10-game winless streak. However, within that winless run, the club did also draw with Porto right at the start of the campaign, which in itself is fairly commendable.

Vizela are also coming off the back of a win despite that 4-0 defeat to Porto in the last league game, as they beat Braga 1-0 in the Taca de Portugal thanks to a goal from Nuno Moreira early on in the game.

Despite this, however, they are on an 11-game winless streak in the league and have now conceded nine goals in their past three league games, but have also scored five following that stunning 4-1 win over Arouca.

Forebet predicts a close game here given the state of the two clubs and how both sides sit in a very familiar situation right now. Forebet also predicts the game to see under 2.5 goals.
