Inter Milan welcome Torino to the San Siro on Wednesday as Serie A teams play their final game before the winter break in Italy.

Simone Inzaghi’s sit top of the Serie A table – four points clear of second-place Napoli – having lost just one of their 18 games this season.

Meanwhile, Torino find themselves tenth – 18 points behind Inter – after avoiding defeat in each of their previous four outings.

Inter head into Wednesday’s clash on the back of a 5-0 thrashing of last-place Salernitana. They enjoyed 67% possession while racking up 23 shots last time out.

Inzaghi’s men are currently enjoying a six-match winning streak in Serie A and have kept a clean sheet in each of their previous five outings.

They have also avoided defeat in each of their past ten league games, picking up eight wins and two draws along the way.

Much of Inter recent success has come on home soil. In fact, they are unbeaten in their past 25 home games in Serie A.

In fairness to Torino, they have upped their game of late – picking up two wins and two draws in their previous four matches.

Following draws with Empoli and Cagliari, they secured back-to-back victories over Bologna and Hellas Verona.

Across October and November, Torino suffered five defeats in eight matches. However, they have turned things around recently.

Still, there is no hiding from the fact that Torino have only managed to win seven of their 18 Serie A games this term.

Head-to-head: Inter Milan have won each of their previous four meetings with Torino, scoring 12 goals in the process.

Given that the last four meetings have produced a combined total of 16 goals, Wednesday’s clash is destined to be a high-scoring encounter.

It is also worth noting Torino have only managed to win two of their last ten matches against Inter, registering three draws and five defeats in that time.

Team news: Inter Milan will be without the injured duo of Matteo Darmian and Joaquin Correa on Wednesday.

Torino are currently missing star striker Andre Belotti due to injury, as well as Simone Verdi and Simone Edera.

Although Torino have turned the corner in recent weeks, high-flying Inter should be far too strong for the visitors on Wednesday.

Forebet predicts that Inter will score over 2.5 goals on their way to dispatching Torino, keeping yet another clean sheet in the process.
