In-form West Ham United will aim to enhance their top-four credentials when they face faltering Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday.

As it stands, the Hammers sit fourth in the Premier League table – two points clear of fifth-place Tottenham Hotspur.

At the opposite end of the standings, Burnley find themselves eighteenth – three points from safety and 17 points behind West Ham.

Burnley have only managed to win one of their 14 Premier League games this season, recording seven draws and six losses along the way.

They have netted just 14 goals in the process, meaning only last-place Norwich City have scored fewer goals this term.

The Clarets head into Sunday’s clash on a four-game winless streak, having recorded three draws and one defeat since their last victory.

That said, they have only lost two of their previous nine Premier League matches, so they will be confident of moving away from the relegation zone.

When you look at the bigger picture, however, Sean Dyche’s side have won just three of their past 23 games in the Premier League.

As for West Ham, they secured a hugely impressive 3-2 victory over Chelsea last weekend – coming from behind on two occasions to seal all three points.

Despite seeing just 36% possession on home soil, David Moyes’ men showed great resilience to overcome their top-four rivals.

The Hammers have lost just four of their previous 25 matches across all competitions, underlining their resurgence under Moyes.

Although they were beaten 1-0 by Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League on Thursday, it is worth noting that Moyes fielded an entirely different starting XI to the one that faced Chelsea last weekend.

Head-to-head: Across their past six Premier League meetings, Burnley and West Ham have both claimed three wins over one another.

However, the Hammers did the double over Burnley last season – winning 1-0 at home before securing a 2-1 victory at Turf Moor.

Team news: Burnley will be without injured trio Dale Stephens, Maxwel Cornet and Ashley Barnes on Sunday. Phil Bardsley and Ben Mee are also doubts.

As for West Ham, they currently have Ben Johnson, Kurt Zouma, Ryan Fredericks and Angelo Ogbonna sidelined through injury.

It’s fair to say that Burnley are enduring a poor season. On the flip side, the Hammers are enjoying an excellent campaign.

With that in mind, Forebet predicts that West Ham will score over 1.5 goals en route to overcoming the Clarets.
