Lazio will welcome Galatasaray to the Stadio Olimpico for a game that will see both teams play out battle for top spot in Group E as the Turkish giants sit top with 11 points while Lazio are second with eight.

A win of more than 1+ goal will put Lazio top of the group and finish in such a spot, as Galatasaray managed to win 1-0 in the previous game a few months back.

Now, a win for Lazio that sees them do so with a 1+ goal difference puts them level on points, but just ahead in the head-to-head, and on goal difference, therefore leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit for top spot.

Back in the league, it’s been a torrid time for Lazio who are now sitting in eighth after returning to winning ways against Sampdoria. Ciro Immobile scored two goals against Sampdoria at the weekend to take his tally up to 13 in the league, and he is their top scorer in Europe too with three goals.

However, he came off at half time last time out with pain in his right knee, but is working to be fit and is touch and go here to play.

Prior to this, Maurizio Sarri’s men conceded eight goals in two games following defeats to Napoli and a wild 4-4 draw with Udinese. It leaves them behind Juventus now, nine points off the top four and only two points away from dropping into the bottom half.

Back in Europe, it hasn't been too great either for the Rome side who now sit with two wins, two draws and a loss, putting Sarri under serious pressure.

Failure to win here means a place in the playoff round of the Europa League, which only adds to the eyes on his job.

As for Galatasaray, it's not exactly been that impressive from them either, despite a great Europa League campaign leaving them top and unbeaten. Back in Turkey, however, their usual title quest has been swapped for a battle to get into the top four, where they are now three points adrift.

In fact, following 19 goals conceded and just scored, the Super Lig giants sit seventh and an almighty 16 points from league leaders Trabzonspor. The club are also unbeaten in their past three league games, drawing two and losing at home to arch rivals Fenerbahce.

Given Lazio’s form and Immobile’s likely inclusion, Forebet predicts Sarri’s men to get the job here in a game that sees under 2.5 goals.
