Man Utd, on the other hand, held Chelsea to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge on Sunday – ending a run of two straight defeats in the Premier League.
The two sides are separated by five points in the table, with fifth-place Arsenal leading eighth-place Man Utd.
The Red Devils have won just one of their previous eight Premier League outings, registering two draws and five losses along the way.
Ultimately, that run of poor results left the United board with no choice but to part ways with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – leaving Michael Carrick in temporary charge.
It is also worth noting that Man Utd have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their previous 14 home matches across all competitions.
Needless to say, the incoming Rangnick must get the best out of United’s talented squad as quickly as possible if he wants to achieve anything this season.
Not only have Arsenal won four of their last five league games, but they have also lost just one of their previous 12 encounters in all competitions.
Following a dismal run of three straight defeats at the start of the campaign, Mikel Arteta’s side have turned things around of late.
The Gunners have kept six clean sheets in their past ten Premier League games, including three in their previous four.
Sitting level with fourth-place West Ham on 23 points, Arsenal have the chance to move into the Champions League spots this week.
Head-to-head: To make matters worse for the Red Devils, they have failed to beat Arsenal in their previous six Premier League meetings.
That said, the Gunners have won just three of their last 23 games at Old Trafford across all competitions.
Team news: Rangnick is expected to shake things up on Thursday, although Raphael Varane, Edinson Cavani, Paul Pogba and Luke Shaw remain sidelined through injury.
Arsenal will be without injured duo Sead Kolasinac and Granit Xhaka for the trip to Old Trafford. There are also question marks over the fitness of Bukayo Saka.
Regardless of Arsenal’s poor record at Old Trafford, recent form suggests that Arteta’s men could edge out the Red Devils this time around.
Forebet predicts that Arsenal will leave Old Trafford with all three points on Thursday, although both teams are likely to score.
