The final round of fixtures in World Cup qualifying Group J includes a meeting between Armenia and Germany at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium, Yerevan.

The hosts cannot qualify for the 2022 World Cup based on their position in the table, whereas the visitors have already booked their place on the plane to Qatar next year.

Armenia come in to the match on the back of a hugely disappointing 5-0 loss at home against North Macedonia.

Prior to the game, Armenia were well positioned to try and finish in second place and qualify for the World Cup play offs and a win would have seen them in that position ahead of this fixture.

However, they fell apart and found themselves 2-0 down at half-time. Things got worse in the second half and Armenia conceded another 3 goals to lose the game.

That result means Armenia have failed to win any of their last 8 matches in all competitions, 6 of which have come in World Cup qualifying.

The have managed to pick up only 3 points from the last 18 available in the group, drawing away against North Macedonia and Iceland plus at home against Liechtenstein.

Home form shows Armenia have lost only one of their last 4 World Cup qualifying games and they have picked up two victories against Iceland and Romania.

However, Armenia concede plenty of goals when playing at home and they have conceded 18 goals across their last 6 home World Cup qualifying fixtures.

Germany make the trip to the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium having destroyed Liechtenstein 9-0 at home on Thursday night.

The fact Liechtenstein went down to 10 men after only 9 minutes helped the Germans but they took full advantage in devastating fashion, piling on the misery for the visitors. Germany scored 4 goals in the first half and went one better in the second half, scoring 5 times.

That result leaves Germany top of the group on 24 points and the clear winners with one game remaining.

They are on a run 6 straight victories in World Cup qualifying and they have won each of their last 17 away World Cup qualifying matches, which is a tremendous record.

Trends show Germany have kept a clean sheet in each of their last 4 away World Cup qualifying fixtures and they have scored 3 or more goals in 10 of their last 13 on the road.

Looking ahead to the team news and Armenia can welcome back Sargis Adamyan, Eduard Spertsyan, and Taron Voskanyan, who were suspended for the game against North Macedonia.

Germany will be without central defender Antonio Rüdiger, who is suspended. His place in the team could go to Jonathan Tah and Hansi Flick may be tempted to give those who did not start against Liechtenstein a runout.

Armenia are up against it in this match and Germany will be feeling confident of scoring goals. We expect to see the Germans score at least 3 goals on their way to victory and keep a clean sheet as they head to Qatar in style.
