European World Cup qualifying comes to an end over the next 10 days and on the 12th of November we have meeting between Austria and Israel in Group F.

That match will be played at the Wörthersee Stadion, Klagenfurt and the hosts begin the game in third place 10 points while the visitors are in second place on 13 points.

Austria come into the match having lost 1-0 in Denmark last time out. The Danes scored the only goal of the game in the 53rd minute and that result was good enough for Denmark to win the group but leaves Austria unable to finish in the top two places.

The defeat against Denmark means Austria have lost 3 of their last 4 fixtures, all of which have come in World Cup qualifying. The damage was done in the away defeat against Israel and home loss against Scotland.

Austria conceded 5 goals in the loss against Israel, which was a hugely disappointing performance. The only victory in their last 4 matches came away against Faroe Islands and Austria won the game 2-0.

Trends show Austria have allowed at least one goal in each of their last 9 home matches in all competitions. They have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their last 5 home World Cup qualifying fixtures, including games against Georgia and Faroe Islands.

Israel make the trip to Klagenfurt knowing they need to win the match and hope Scotland slip up in Moldova to have any chance of finishing in second place.

They come into the game on the back of a narrow 2-1 home win over Moldova and conceded to the opposition when they were down to ten men at the end of the match.

That victory came off the back of two defeats for Israel and they were comfortably beaten 5-0 in Denmark and lost 3-2 in Scotland, the latter of which was a big blow to their chances of finishing in second place. Scotland scored in the 90th minute to take maximum points.

Trends show Israel have seen over 2.5 goals in their last 6 World Cup qualifying fixtures. That includes each of their last 4 away World Cup qualifying games. Israel have scored at least one goal in 12 of their last 14 away World Cup qualifying matches.

Looking ahead to the team news and Austria can call upon the services of Marko Arnautović in attack. Marcel Sabitzer, Christoph Baumgartner, and David Alaba will be among the other starters for the hosts.

Israel travel with defender Hatem Abd Elhamed having served a suspension against Scotland. Mu'nas Dabbur and Eran Zahavi are set to play in attack and are the main goal scoring threat for the visitor.

We expect to see goals in this game and it would not be a surprise for both teams to score and over 2.5 goals. Israel have struggled away from home against Denmark and Scotland and this has the makings of being another defeat.
