Burnley and Norwich City are the Premier League’s two worst teams going into matchday 7. On Saturday afternoon, the two relegation-threatened teams will meet at Turf Moor.

Sean Dyche’s Clarets go into the game with two points from 18 possible. Just five goals have been scored by Burnley while 11 have been allowed.

Burnley have long been known as a difficult team to defeat thanks to a strong defence. However, that defence has been breached for 1.8 goals per game this season in the league.

Norwich City have the Premier League’s worst defence. The Canaries have allowed 16 goals to opponents and are still searching for their first points of the campaign. Just two goals have been scored by Norwich City.

Burnley and Norwich City met three times during the 2019-20 season in all competitions. The Clarets won both Premier League matches between the teams by combined score of 4-0. Norwich City did win the teams’ FA Cup meeting by a 2-1 score.

Dyche has five players on the Burnley injury list going into the game. Maxwel Cornet, who signed from Lyon in the summer, is ruled out with a thigh strain. Matej Vydra is nearing a return from a back injury and could play.

Jay Rodriguez is also likely to make the matchday squad. Meanwhile, Connor Roberts and Dale Stephens are ruled out of the fixture.

Daniel Farke’s team has their best chance of getting points at Turf Moor on Saturday. Five players are on the injury list going into the match for Farke.

Przemyslaw Placheta, Sam Byram, and Christoph Zimmermann are all three ruled out of the game. Todd Cantwell could make a return to the team following personal issues. Mathias Normann is due back for Norwich City following a leg injury.

Burnley have scored just four goals this season with four different goal scorers getting on the scoresheet.

Cornet has one goal but won’t play. Meanwhile, two of the team’s four goals have come from defenders.

Teemu Pukki has scored both of Norwich City’s goals this season. Farke needs other players to step up, but with Norwich City struggling in all areas, Saturday’s game is likely to finish in a loss.

Burnley won their last two matches against Norwich City in the league by identical scores of 2-0. The Clarets should claim another win against Norwich City with the final score being 2-0.

Norwich City will struggle once more and suffer a seventh straight league loss.
