Just one point separates fifteenth-place Crystal Palace and thirteenth-place Leicester City in the Premier League table as the two sides prepare to do battle at Selhurst Park on Sunday.

Although neither team have made an overly impressive start to the season, it’s safe to say that Palace will be the happier of the two sides heading into Matchday 7.

The Eagles have managed to win just one of their six league games this term, although they have only suffered two losses.

Three draws have prevented Patrick Vieira’s men from slipping into the bottom three, but they will be eager to improve.

When you look at the bigger picture, Palace have only managed to win one of their last nine games in all competitions.

It is also worth pointing out that just six teams in the Premier League have scored fewer goals than Vieira’s side this term.

However, with new signings Odsonne Edouard and Conor Gallagher impressing during the early stages of the campaign, the Eagles will be confident of moving up the standings.

On the flip side, Leicester lost three of their opening five Premier League matches this season – picking up two wins along the way.

They registered their first draw of the campaign last time out, producing a 2-2 thriller with Burnley at the King Power Stadium.

Jamir Vardy netted an own goal before bagging a brace against the Clarets, underlining his importance to the side.

It is worth remembering that both teams have scored in each of Leicester’s previous ten away games in the Premier League.

In the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday, the Foxes were beaten 1-0 by Legia Warsaw in Poland – despite seeing 65% possession and recording 18 shots.

Head-to-head: Leicester have won three of their past four league meetings with Palace, picking up an away draw and a home win in this fixture last season.

Let's not forget, too, that seven of the previous ten Premier League games between Leicester and Palace have produced over 2.5 goals.

Team news: The Eagles are still without long-term absentees Eberechi Eze and Nathan Ferguson, although the rest of the squad is available for selection.

The Foxes, meanwhile, will be without the injured defensive duo of James Justin and Wesley Fofana this weekend.

There has been little to separate Palace and Leicester during the early stages of the season, so we are likely to see a cagey affair at the Selhurst Park.

With that in mind, Forebet predicts that Crystal Palace and Leicester City will play out a low-scoring draw on Sunday.
