Gasperini could be without two players for the midweek match. Striker Luis Muriel is a doubt due to a foot injury. He is nearing a return and could be back at the weekend against first-place Inter Milan. Hans Hateboer is ruled out until October.

However, Sassuolo are likely to drop another game to Atalanta. La Dea should pick up an 11th win out of 16 matches against Sassuolo with over 2.5 goals being scored at the Gewiss Stadium. Atalanta could move into the top five with a victory.
