Sunday evening brings us action from the Spanish second tier and a clash between Mirandes and Las Palmas at the Estadio Municipal de Anduva with both teams looking to further improve their respective league positions in La Liga 2.
Mirandes have enjoyed mixed fortunes so far in this season’s La Liga 2 campaign as the hosts have won, drawn.

Lost in equal measure in their opening three games of this new season but they find themselves just one point behind their 7th placed visitors, Las Palmas.
An opening day 0-0 draw away from home at Malaga was followed by a solid 2-0 home win against Amorebieta but Mirandes were then subjected to their first defeat of the season last weekend when they lost 2-1 on the road at Sporting Gijon.
Results overall at home though have been pretty consistent where Mirandes have been concerned as Sunday’s hosts have lost just two out of their last 11 matches at their Estadio Municipal de Anduva and includes four wins, one of which was a 2-0 victory over the upcoming visitors, Las Palmas.
Las Palmas still remain unbeaten after their opening three games of this new La Liga 2 season having picked up points in draws with Real Valladolid and Girona, along with last week’s 2-1 home win against Huesca.
The visitors are now unbeaten in their last five matches in the Spanish second tier and includes three wins, with two of these wins being registered on home turf at their Estadio de Gran Canaria.
The bigger picture shows that Las Palmas have lost just three of their last 15 matches overall in La Liga 2, two of which were inflicted upon them on their travels while wins on the road overall have been tough to come by for Las Palmas.
Indeed, Las Palmas have managed to collect just three away wins from their previous 26 outings, while 14 of these 26 away games also resulted in Las Palmas failing to hit the back of the net as well, so this upcoming trip to Mirandes looks to be a tricky one for the visitors.
Mirandes have won each of their last five meetings at home on the trot against Las Palmas and the hosts look in good shape to add to their points tally here too, or at the very least, avoid defeat.
