On Saturday evening, Tenerife host Ponferradina at the Estadio Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopez, as the visitors look to continue their stellar recent start in the Spanish Segunda.
Tenerife have made a solid if unspectacular start by winning one and drawing two of their opening league matches in the Segunda.

The unbeaten start to the new campaign means that the Islanders are now undefeated in five league outings. However, they have also won just two of their last 12 games in the Spanish second tier.
Their most recent matches in the Segunda have followed a low-scoring trend, as 11 of their last 13 matches in the second tier have produced under 2.5 goals.
Tenerife have struggled on home soil of late, as they have failed to win in their last five home games in the Segunda. Like their recent league matches in general, Tenerife’s home matches have been low-scoring of late, with under 2.5 goals scored in seven of last eight league outings.
Ponferradina have made a promising start to their Segunda campaign and currently sit top of the table. Bolo’s team has beaten Alcorcon, Eibar and Girona in their first three league games this season.
The good run of form at the beginning of the new season is a welcome one, as they finished last season in poor form.
One facet of the visitor’s game that they will need to improve if they are to maintain their promotion push this season is their away form. Despite winning their opening away game of the season at Eibar, they have won just two of the previous 11 league matches on their travels.
Their recent away matches in the Segunda have been low-scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in 11 of their last 12 games.
Forebet predicts that Ponferradina will continue their good form in the Segunda by recording a victory in a low-scoring encounter.
