The Estadio Benito Villamarín in Sevilla provides the backdrop to this upcoming clash between Real Betis and Real Madrid in Saturday evening’s La Liga encounter with both teams heading into this meeting on the back of draws.

Indeed, Real Betis have been no strangers to stalemates as the hosts have been involved in no fewer than nine draws within their last 13 matches which have also seen Real Betis unbeaten in the Spanish top flight since mid-March of last season.

Real Betis are also unbeaten in their last nine games on home turf at their Estadio Benito Villamarín as well, which consists of five wins and four draws, with victories picked up against Getafe, Alaves, Levante, Granada and Huesca.

The bigger picture shows that Real Betis have lost just one of their last 15 games at home in La Liga and so therefore the hosts stand a decent chance of getting something out of this upcoming clash.

Four of Real Betis’s last six home games have ended in draws, three of which were score-draws.

Real Madrid were also held to a draw last time out in La Liga as they had to settle for a point after an entertaining 3-3 draw away from home at Levante, but this point also extended Real Madrid’s unbeaten run in the domestic top flight to an impressive 20 matches overall.

14 of these 20 matches have resulted in wins for the visitors and so they therefore may feel they hold a slight edge over their hosts ahead of this clash on Saturday night, while the bigger picture shows that Real Madrid have also been tough to beat on their travels as well.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are unbeaten in their last 16 matches on the road in La Liga, winning 10 of these games while also keeping six clean sheets as well, but it’s still early days and Real Madrid were held to just a single point at Levante last weekend.

At the very least though, Real Madrid should avoid defeat at the Estadio Benito Villamarín on Saturday evening as the visitors have suffered just one defeat out of their last 26 matches away from home.

Both teams have been compact and tough to beat in recent times and a draw could be on the cards here.
