This season has been an inconsistent one for Derry City and Drogheda United who meet on Friday night in the Irish Premier Division.
The teams are sixth and fifth place respectively in the league table, still in slight contention for the European spots. Drogheda are eight points outside the top-three, while Derry are two points further back.

A win in this clash would aid both teams’ chances of playing European football next season.
Derry’s recent league form has not been great, as a 2-0 win at Longford Town in their last outing was only their second victory in six league outings. The win at least ended a short two-game losing streak for City though.
The home side has not found home wins easily to come by of late in the Premier Division, as they have won just one of their previous 11 home matches.
However, on the flip side, City have also lost just one of their last six matches on home soil.
Derry have certainly had the better of the recent meetings with Drogheda, as they are unbeaten in the last nine meetings in all competitions with the visitors.
Similarly, to the home team, the visitor's recent form in the Irish top-flight has not been great of late, as they head into this encounter on the back of just one win in their last seven matches.
They are also winless in their last three league games, including two straight defeats against St. Patricks and Waterford.
United have been poor on their travels of late, as they have failed to win in their last four away games in Premier Division.
With such little difference in the table between the two teams, it is no surprise that Forebet predicts that this clash will end in a low-scoring draw.
