Just two points separate Goteborg and Norrkoping in the Allsvenskan standings as the two sides prepare to face off at Gamla Ullevi on Monday.

Having registered five wins, two draws and five losses this season, Norrkoping sit sixth in the table on 17 points.

Goteborg, on the other hand, have recorded three wins, six draws and three losses this term. They find themselves eighth with 15 points to their name.

Including recent friendlies, Goteborg have only managed to win three of their previous 16 games in all competitions.

It is also worth noting that Goteborg have lost four of their last six outings, with a 2-0 defeat to Varbergs coming last time out.

Still, let’s not forget that Goteborg have only lost three of their previous 16 matches in the Swedish top-flight.

Although they have struggled for wins over the past few months, they have managed to secure plenty of draws.

As for Norrkoping, they head into Monday’s clash on the back of successive defeats, having lost to Hacken and Hammerby in recent weeks.

However, they have only lost four of their previous 11 outings, picking up six wins and one draw along the way.

Norrkoping also boast one of the best defensive records in the Allsvenskan, having conceded just 12 goals in as many games this term.

In fact, only two sides – Djurgarden and Halmstad – have conceded fewer goals than Norrkoping in Sweden’s top tier this season.

Head-to-head: In their previous four meetings, Norrkoping are unbeaten against Goteborg, picking up two wins and two draws.

Looking at the bigger picture, Goteborg have only managed to win one of their last seven matches against Norrkoping.

Team news: Goteborg will be without injured trio Patrik Karlsson Lagemyr, Simon Thern and Kevin Yakob on Monday.

Norrkoping have no injury concerns at the moment. Samuel Adegbenro is their danger man, having bagged seven goals in 12 Allsvenskan games this season.

Although Norrkoping have enjoyed playing against Goteborg in recent years, they could struggle to pick up all three points this time around.

Goteborg have only lost two of their six home games this season, while Norrkoping have lost four of their six away matches.

Considering Norrkoping’s struggles on the road, Forebet predicts that Goteborg will edge out the visitors on Monday.
