Their title challenge was aided by the 19 league goals of striker Michael Uhre, who topped the scoring charts in the Danish top-flight.
Despite their triumph last season, the home team kicked off the new campaign with a 1-1 draw at AGF. The draw does at least make the reigning champions three games unbeaten in the Superliga dating back to last season.
One of the biggest factors in Brondby’s success last season was that they were hard to beat on home soil, as they have lost just once in their last 13 home games in the Danish top-flight.
They are currently on a three-game winning streak at home in the Superliga, as well as being unbeaten in four league games at the Brondby Stadion.
The champions were prolific at the back end of last season on home soil, scoring at least two goals in their final four home league games of the campaign.
Viborg enjoyed an inconsistent campaign last season. However, the visitors kicked off the new Superliga campaign with a 2-1 victory at Nordsjaelland.
The win means that the visitors have lost just one of their previous six outings in the Superliga dating back to last season.
The visitors have a decent recent away record in the Superliga, as they have won three of their last four matches on their travels in the Danish top-flight.
One negative is that they have lost four of the last six meetings with the reigning champions, although they did win the other two games in the run.
Forebet predicts that Brondby will pick up their first league win of the campaign by recording a win in a high-scoring clash.
