Ukraine and England travel to Rome’s Stadio Olimpico on Saturday, with both sides hoping to book their spot in the semi-finals of Euro 2020.

England qualified for the quarter-finals following a hugely disciplined 2-0 victory over Germany at Wembley on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Ukraine secured a dramatic extra-time win over Sweden to reach the last eight of a European Championship for the very first time.

Manchester City star Oleksandr Zinchenko gave his side the lead against Sweden before Emil Forsberg equalised on the stroke of half-time.

But in the 121st minute of the match, Artem Dovbyk scored the winning goal to send his country through.

Ukraine can count themselves very lucky to be in the quarter-finals, having lost two of their three group games.

Andriy Shevchenko’s men qualified for the knockouts as the lowest-ranked third-place team, but they are now making the most of their opportunity.

When you consider the bigger picture, Ukraine have only lost two of their last ten matches (four wins, four draws).

Still, they will need to up their game against England, who are now the bookmakers’ favourites to lift the trophy.

Remarkably, the Three Lions have yet to concede a goal at Euro 2020, although they have only scored four goals in four games.

Gareth Southgate’s side finished three points clear at the top of Group D after picking up two wins and one draw.

Despite seeing just 45% and only managing four shots on target, England beat Germany 2-0 in the previous round.

The Three Lions head into the quarter-finals on a ten-game unbeaten streak in all competitions (nine wins, one draw).

Raheem Sterling has been England’s star of the show at the Euros so far, scoring three goals in four matches.

Head-to-head: Ukraine and England have only faced each other seven times in the past, with Ukraine winning just once along the way.

It is worth pointing out that each of the previous four meetings between Ukraine and England have produced under 2.5 goals.

Team news: Ukrainian striker Artem Besedin will miss the rest of the tournament through injury following a horror tackle in the previous round. Denys Popov is also sidelined.

England duo Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell are out of isolation, while both Declan Rice and Kalvin Phillips are one yellow card away from suspension.

Ukraine are expected to give England a run for their money on Saturday, but England’s superiority is likely shine through.

With that in mind, Forebet predicts that England will keep yet another clean sheet on their way to seeing off Ukraine and reaching the last four.
