On Thursday evening, the top two teams in the Eliteserien, Bodo/Glimt and Molde meet at the Aspmyra Stadion in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.
Reigning Norwegian champions Bodo/Glimt have made a decent start to their title defence, as they currently sit top of the Eliteserien.However, they are only ahead of their second-place opponents’ courtesy of goal difference.

The home side’s recent results have been decent, as they have won nine of their last 12 league matches. Last time out they drew 1-1 at Valerenga, which may not prove to be a terrible result for the champions.
The game followed a familiar low-scoring trend for Bodo/Glimt, as four of their last five league matches have produced under 2.5 goals.
One of the key factors in Bodo/Glimt’s league form has been a formidable home record, as they are unbeaten in 30 games in the Eliteserien, recording an impressive 26 wins in the process.
Kjetil Knutsen’s team have also been highly prolific on home soil of late, scoring at least twice in their last 22 league games on home soil.
Despite winning the title in 2019, the visitors have developed something of a reputation as the nearly-men of the Eliteserien in recent years, due to the fact that they have finished second-place on three occasions in the last four seasons.
Molde FK once again look set to mount a realistic title challenge in the Eliteserien this season. A win over the reigning champions would not do their chances any harm, even if it is early in the league campaign.
Last time out the visitors recorded a 2-1 win over Stabaek, with in-form forward Ohi Omoijuanfo scoring a brace to take his goal tally for the season in the league to nine in as many appearances.
