Stuttgart can finish second in the Bundesliga standings, but they need to win against Borussia Monchengladbach and hope Bayern Munich lose to Hoffenheim. Gladbach won their last two games in all competitions against Stuttgart.
The Foals claimed a 3-1 home win earlier this season. Gladbach have not played well on the road this season. They have a record of 2W-7D-7L and goal difference of -8 on the road. Gladbach took one point from the last six points on offer away from Borussia Park.
Stuttgart won their last two home matches in the Bundesliga. The Swabians have conceded the third-fewest goals in the division (39). Stuttgart are the league’s third-best home team, with 39 points out of 70 total points.
Can Mainz win at Wolfsburg and save their Bundesliga status on the final day? If the 05ers are to win, they will need to end a four-match winless run against Wolfsburg in all competitions. These clubs drew 1-1 earlier this season at Mainz.
Mainz took 12 points from the last 18 points on offer. The defence has been brilliant in recent weeks, conceding four times in the last six matches. Meanwhile, Mainz’s attack has been fantastic, scoring 14 goals.
