The international break is over, and Fantasy Premier League managers are gearing up for Gameweek 9.

With fixture congestion and injuries to consider, we take a close look at some key players who could make or break your FPL fortunes this week.

    Goalkeepers

Alisson (Liverpool) is Liverpool's ever-reliable number one, and he always has the potential for clean sheets.

Although Liverpool's defensive record is not so good this season, he's a top pick for this week, especially in a derby against Everton. Matt Turner (Nottingham Forest) has been a surprise package this season, showing incredible shot-stopping abilities.

Forest's opponents have struggled to score some goals. Andre Onana (Manchester United), now donning the Red Devils’ kit, is undoubtedly a talent but the performance at the back worries. Sheffield United are the least scoring side and you might keep Onana for another gameweek.

    Defenders

Pedro Porro (Tottenham)'s offensive contributions from the back make him an enticing FPL option. If Tottenham gear up against Fulham, he could grab an assist or even a goal. Kieran Trippier (Newcastle), the Englishman, has a knack for delivering in set-piece situations, and Newcastle's recent performances will be pivotal in deciding his inclusion.

Matty Cash (Aston Villa) is a dynamic full-back whose attacking runs can earn bonus FPL points. Murillo (Nottingham Forest) can be a differential punt this week as Forest are showing some defensive solidity.

Vladimir Coufal (West Ham) is also another differential pick and his crosses look like a real threat for every team.

    Midfielders

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) is a must-have. His form and consistent returns make him almost fixture-proof. Both Son Heung-min and James Maddison (Tottenham) are pivotal to Tottenham's attacking play. Their individual form and Tottenham's attacking fluidity are crucial for FPL returns.

Pedro Neto (Wolverhampton) is a dazzling prospect with his dribbling and shooting prowess. Anthony Gordon (Newcastle) is a differential pick, and his recent performances can make him an enticing budget option.

Martin Ødegaard (Arsenal), the Gunners' creative fulcrum proved to be a good pick and looks like he might be on penalties. Keep an eye on Brentford's offensive form as Bryan Mbuemo (Brentford) can be a good mid-priced midfield option and you might want to have him for the game against Burnley.

    Forwards

Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) has the ability to find the back of the net and also drift wide to assist, making him an FPL favorite this season. Erling Haaland (Manchester City) is one of the world's best strikers in the Premier League but the goal draught in his most recent matches ,worries City’s fans and FPL managers.

If Alexander Isak (Newcastle) declares to be fit, he can be a great option with his goal-scoring prowess. Yoane Wissa (Brentford) is a differential forward pick and his recent form will be a good gauge for his inclusion.

The DEADLINE is Saturday at 11:00 UK Time, so be ready!

Good luck to all FPL managers for Gameweek 9! May your arrows be green!
