Sevilla are battling against relegation at this point in the season. Los Rojiblancos are 16th in the standings with only 13 points. Sevilla failed to win any of their last six matches.
Real Sociedad will host Real Betis in a match-up of two top-seven teams. Real Betis edged Sociedad in the teams’ last six head-to-head encounters, with 3W-2D-1L. The last four games between these clubs ended with under 2.5 goals.
Betis are fresh off a 1-1 draw with Real Madrid in La Liga. Los Verdiblancos took 12 points from the last six games, going unbeaten during that time. The defence conceded just three goals in the last six matches.
Real Sociedad picked up 11 points from the last six matches. They went unbeaten in each of the last four matches in the league. La Real Scored 11 goals and conceded six times.
Almeria and Mallorca will play a relegation six-pointer on Sunday. Almeria are bottom of the standings, with four points. They are the only La Liga team still without a victory. Last season, Almeria won 3-0 at home when these teams met. Mallorca returned the favour 1-0 at home.
Mallorca are coming off a 1-0 win over Sevilla, which ended a five-game winless streak. It was just the Islanders’ second win of the campaign. Each of Mallorca’s last six games finished with under 2.5 goals.
Almeria picked up one point from the last six games. Two of the last five fixtures for Almeria had under 2.5 goals. No team in La Liga has conceded more goals than Almeria’s 39. Mallorca have scored the second-fewest goals, with 14, however.
