Serie A is experiencing another entertaining campaign. Inter Milan will start round No. 12 in first place, but Juventus are just two points behind them.
The battle to avoid the drop is competitive as well, as Udinese, Cagliari, Hellas Verona, Empoli, and Salernitana are early favourites for the drop.
AC Milan are third in the Serie A standings and six points behind city-rival Inter Milan. The Rossoneri are coming off a Champions League win over Paris Saint-Germain in midweek and confidence will be high.
Lecce go into the weekend in 13th place, but their form is poor. The team failed to win any of their last six Serie A games, losing four times and drawing two. The Giallorossi scored just three times in their last six matches.
AC Milan took four points from six from Lecce last term. The Rossoneri are not in good form either in Serie A, however. They failed to win their last three games. Tuesday’s win over Paris Saint-Germain should fill Milan with confidence.
Juventus could go to the top of the table with a win over Cagliari at home on Saturday. The Bianconeri won five of their last six games in all competitions against the Islanders.
Max Allergi’s Juve kept a clean sheet in each of their last six Serie A games. Not having European football to play this season has helped Juventus in the early stages of the campaign. They sit atop the form table with 16 points from the last six games.
Cagliari won their last two league matches. A 4-3 win over Frosinone was followed by a 2-1 win over Genoa. Cagliari’s defence conceded 16 times in their last six games. Juventus could be in store for a big game in front of goal.
Napoli won their last two matches against Empoli in Serie A. On Sunday, the Partenopei are seeking a victory to keep pressure on the top of the Serie A table.
Napoli scored at least 2.0 goals in five of their last six games in the league. They picked up 13 points from the last six matches and go into round No. 12 unbeaten in three straight games.
Empoli are on a two-game losing streak in Serie A. They scored just four times in the last six matches. This is a poor-scoring team and go up against the reigning champions. Empoli lost four of their opening five road games of the season.
Fiorentina and Bologna divided the last six head-to-head matches in all competitions two wins, two draws, and two losses apiece. Bologna did the Serie A double over Fiorentina last season, with identical 2-1 wins.
Fiorentina are not scoring goals ahead of Sunday’s match. They were held scoreless in each of their last three Serie A matches. All three of those matches ended in defeat.
Bologna are in fine form and go into the match unbeaten in their last six games. Thiago Motta’s side picked up 12 points from the last 18 points on offer.
