The Chinese Super League moves into round No 16, with a slate of midweek fixtures. Shanghai Port lead the CSL by three points over city rival Shanghai Shenhua.
At the bottom of the table, Qingdao Hainiu and Shenzhen have a massive CSL relegation six-pointer on tap.
The last three meetings between Meizhou Hakka and Beijing Guoan finished as draws. That includes the teams’ match from earlier this season, which ended 1-1. The last two meetings between Meizhou Hakka and Beijing ended with under 2.5 goals.
Meizhou Hakka are 12th in the standings and just three points above last-placed Dalian Pro. Hakka are unbeaten in back-to-back games, with four points from the last six on offer. Meizhou Hakka are the CSL’s worst home team and took seven points from their opening seven home games.
Beijing Guoan go into the game sixth in the standings. They are on a two-game winning streak in the division Beijing Guoan went unbeaten in their last two away fixtures, collecting four points from six possible.
It is a six-point relegation match between Nantong Zhiyun and Dalian Pro. Nantong Zhiyun are 13th in the standings, with 11 points from 15 games. Dalian Pro are bottom of the table on 10 points.
Dalian drew each of their last four CSL games. They have won just one match this season from 15 fixtures. Dalian Pro drew their last two matches on the road. They have just two points from seven away fixtures.
Nantong Zhiyun were beaten 2-1 by Dalian earlier this season. They aren’t in great form ahead of the match with two losses and two draws. Nantong Zhiyun have a record of 2W-3D-3L at home and a goal difference of –5.
Qingdao Hainiu and Shenzhen will also meet in a relegation six-pointer. Shenzhen won the reverse fixture 2-1. Indeed, Shenzhen are on a four-game winning streak against Qingdao Hainiu in head-to-head fixtures.
Qingdao Hainiu are 15th in the 16-team league. They took just two points from the last 18 points on offer. Qingdao Hainiu are a better home team than an away side. They took eight of their 10 points from home fixtures.
