Tigres UANL went unbeaten in their last six games against Juarez FC, with four wins and two draws. Last season, Tigres took four points from six points on offer against Juarez in the Apertura and Clausura combined.
Juarez picked up an impressive 2-1 win over Club America in round No 1. The Jaguars posted a record of 7W-13D-14L in the Apertura and Clausura last season.
Tigres drew 1-1 with Puebla in round No 1. The Tigers had a brilliant record of 16W-7D-11L in the combined Apertura and Clausura seasons in 2022-23. UANL won the Clausura title by winning the playoffs.
Monterrey went unbeaten in five of their last six matches against Atlas in all competitions. Last season, Monterrey did the double over Atlas. Atlas failed to score in their last three games against Rayados.
Monterrey drew 1-1 with San Luis in round No 1. Rayados had the best overall points total in 2022-23 in the combined Apertura and Clausura table, with 75 from 34 games. Despite Monterrey’s strong points total, they couldn’t win either title last term.
Atlas’s 2-0 win over Cruz Azul to start the season has them atop the Liga MX table. The visitors saw under 2.5 goals in each of their last five games in all competitions. Monterrey also had under 2.5 goals in their last five matches in all competitions.
Cruz Azul and Toluca split their last six head-to-head meetings in all competitions, with three wins apiece. Toluca are on a two-game winning streak against Cruz Azul heading into the match. The last four matches between the clubs saw red cards.
Toluca were beaten 2-0 by Atlas in round No 1. They finished fourth in the overall table at the end of 2022-23, with 59 points from 34 matches. Toluca scored a fantastic 61 goals.
Cruz Azul ended last season ninth in the combined table. They had a record of 14W-6D-14L and a goal difference of –9. Cruz Azul lost 2-0 to start the season to Atlas.
