On Tuesday night, Wales and Poland will both aim to book their place in this summer’s European Championship when they meet for their play-off final.

Wales punched their ticket to the final with a 4-1 victory over Finland last Thursday, while Poland thrashed Estonia 5-1 to advance.

Can the Dragons roar into Euro 2024? Or will the Eagles soar to victory? Keep reading to discover what Forebet’s algorithm predicts for Tuesday’s showdown.

The Welsh made light work of Finland last time, scoring two goals in each half to progress, despite seeing 41% possession while facing nine shots on home soil.

Wales have now avoided defeat in each of their previous seven matches across all competitions, securing four wins and three draws along the way.

Not only have Rob Page’s men scored 14 goals in their last seven outings (2 goals per game), but they have also conceded just four goals, keeping three clean sheets for good measure.

Trends also show that Wales have lost only one of their previous seven home games, with three wins coming in their last four matches on home soil.

Meanwhile, Poland secured a dominant five-goal victory over Estonia last time out, racking up 85% possession and 25 shots in the process.

As a result, the Eagles head into Tuesday’s clash on a five-game unbeaten streak, having picked up three wins and two draws since their last loss.

That said, Poland suffered a number of disappointing defeats during the qualification process, losing to the Czech Republic, Moldova and Albania last year.

To make matters worse for the Eagles, they have lost three of their previous four away games, conceding eight goals during that period (2 goals against per game).

Head-to-head: Wales have managed to win just one of their 10 previous meetings with Poland, and that victory came all the way back in 1973.

The Eagles have won each of their last six matches against the Dragons, with three clean sheets coming in their previous four encounters.

Team news: Page will be tempted to stick with the same XI that started against Finland, meaning Brennan Johnson will be supported by David Brooks and Harry Wilson in attack.

On the flip side, Robert Lewandowski will lead the line for the visitors, with Wojciech Szczesny lining up between the sticks at the opposite end of the pitch.

With a place in the European Championship on the line, both sides are expected to approach Tuesday’s play-off with a degree of caution.

Forebet predicts that Wales and Poland will play out a low-scoring draw in normal time, meaning extra time and/or penalties will be required to determine the winner.
