Lille moved up to third in the Ligue 1 standings with victory over Brest. Victor Osimhen scored the only goal of the game and took his tally to nine for the season with his strike on 16 minutes.

Memphis Depay bagged a brace and helped Lyon record a big away win against Nimes. Houssem Aouar and Joachim Andersen completed the scoring for the visitors, while Theo Vallas and Gaetan Paquiez were both sent off for Nimes.

    Saturday’s Round-Up

PSG maintained their five-point lead at the top by beating Montpellier. A Leandro Pardedes own goal saw the reigning champions go into the break behind. However, second-half goals from Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Mauro Icardi swung in the game in PSG’s favour.

Toulouse have now lost seven league games in a row as Strasbourg became the latest team to overcome the struggling side. Nicolas Isimat-Mirin gave Toulouse an early breakthrough, but goals from Lamine Kone, Adrien Thomasson and Ludovic Ajorque gave Strasbourg a 3-1 lead. Wesley Said got one back for the visitors, but Lebo Mothiba put the game beyond any doubt on 75 minutes.

M’Baye Niang scored twice as Rennes won their third straight league game. Rachid Alioui scored for Angers deep into added time, but the damage had already been done.

Back-to-back victories for Monaco have seen the principality club move up to eleventh. Wissam Ben Yedder, Guillermo Maripan and Keita Balde all scored in a convincing 3-0 victory over Amiens.

A Wylan Cyprien double set up Nice for a comfortable win against relegation contenders Metz. Ignatius Ganago and Pierre Lees-Melou also scored for Nice, while Ibrahima Niane grabbed a consolation goal for Metz.

    Super Sunday

Reims moved to within a point of St. Etienne after claiming an important victory over their mid-table rivals. Remi Oudin, Boulaye Dia and Moussa Doumbia all got on the scoresheet for the hosts, while Romain Hamouma netted for St. Etienne.

Nantes returned to winning ways by clinching a well-deserved win against Dijon. A Ludovic Blas strike from just outside the penalty area on 73 minutes handed Nantes all three points.

In the final tie of the weekend, Marseille made a big statement as they opened up a six-point gap over third-place Lille. Bordeaux took the lead through Yacine Adli. But Jordan Amavi, Morgan Sanson and Nemanja Radonjic turned the game around for Marseille.
