Levante secured their third win in four games as they climbed up to ninth in the table with a win over Mallorca. Roger Marti gave the hosts the lead early in the second half, before Mallorca equalised just after the hour mark. Ruben Rochina scored the winner, while Jose Campana saw red late on.
Youssef En-Nesyri gave Leganes a shock lead against Barcelona. However, second-half goals from Luis Suarez and Arturo Vidal ensured the Catalan giants turned the game around to claim all three points.
A stoppage-time winner from Sergio Canales handed Betis a dramatic late win over Valencia. Maxi Gomez put the visitors ahead on 32 minutes, but Joaquin drew Betis level five minutes later. The home side snatched the victory with almost the final kick of the game.
Granada held Atletico to yet another 1-1 draw at Los Carmenes. The Madrid outfit have now drawn seven of their 14 league games this term and currently sit three points behind Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Los Blancos claimed a comfortable 3-1 home win over Real Sociedad. Willian Jose put Sociedad ahead after just two minutes, but goals from Karim Benzema, Federico Valverde and Luka Modric handed Real Madrid the points.
Espanyol and Getafe played out an uninspiring draw but the hosts did end a run of three league defeats in the process. A Wu Lei strike just before half-time cancelled out an early Jaime Mata goal.
Inaki Williams and Kenan Kodro scored either side of an Ezequiel Avila effort to seal an undeserved victory of Bilbao. Osasuna enjoyed the lion’s share of the possession and also registered twice as many attempts as their opponents.
A late Joselu brace made it back-to-back wins for Alaves as they moved up to thirteenth is the table. Eibar have now lost three of their last five league games.
Celta Vigo claimed a much-need win over Villarreal to end a dismal run of results. Pione Sisto gave Celta the league before Samuel Chekwueze equalised for Villarreal. Still, two late goals from Iago Aspas saw the visitors come away with all three points.
Finally, Sevilla rounded off the weekend’s fixtures with victory over Valladolid. Ever Benega’s first-half penalty was ultimately the difference between the two teams, while Lucas Ocampos was sent off in added time.
