Spain showed glimpses of the Spanish tika-taka of old against Slovakia yesterday, as Luis Enrique’s men dismantled and demolished Marek Hamsik and co. 5-0 in Seville.

The 2010 world champions started as they finished against Poland and Sweden in their two previous games, as they simply couldn’t get going again.

Alvaro Morata missed another penalty in the first half, but Martin Dúbravka, the penalty hero, managed to punch it in his own net just minutes later.

After this, it was easy work for Spain, who put in arguably the performance of Euro 2020 so far with this 5-0 demolition with Aymeric Laporte, Pablo Sarabia and Ferran Torres also getting goals.

Elsewhere in Group E, Robert Lewandowski’s brace wasn’t enough to get them through, with Emil Forsberg’s double helping Sweden to top the group. The Bayern Munich star was at his very best with two well-taken goals to end his tournament on three in three.

However, Sweden's Viktor Claesson ended Poland's hopes with a 93rd-minute winner and as a result, the Swede's top the group and now meet Ukraine in the knockout rounds as Croatia meet with Spain.

The crazy end to Group E was only the start of this chaotic night at Euro 2020, as 'the group of death' ended the group stage in incredible fashion.

Germany hosted Hungary in Munich, and the Hungarians led for 55 minutes after Adam Szalai's excellent header struck fear into German hearts, with this goal then putting them out.

Joachim Low's men then hit back, however, with Kai Havertz's second goal of the tournament. Although, stunningly, Hungary took the lead seconds later when Andras Schafer notched the ball home from a long punt forward, beating Leroy Sane and Manuel Neuer to it by sheer determination.

In the 84th minute, Germany sealed their fate when Leon Goretzka struck to make it 2-2 and round off what was arguably the most dramatic game of the tournament so far, as Germany moved all over the group's table.

Hungary will now head home and the Germans have set up another mouthwatering clash with England at Wembley Stadium, 25 years on from their Euro 1996 showdown at the old Wembley.

Group F also saw one of the most anticipated games of Euro 2020 so far when Portugal met with France.

Two penalties from the irreplaceable Cristiano Ronaldo took the Portuguese legend onto a record 13 goals and four at this tournament, surpassing the likes of Romelu Lukaku.

Karim Benzema also bagged from the spot and open play, as the Frenchman scored his first goals for France since 2015 to seal another 2-2 draw in Group F.

This now means that Portugal clashes with Belgium, just as France meets Switzerland in the round of 16.
