According to many of the major news outlets, including Sky Sports, Mauricio Pochettino is in talks about returning to former club Tottenham.
The Argentinian is currently the head coach at French giants PSG, where he has only spent six months in charge.

Pochettino won the French Super Cup and also the French Cup, but the Parisians failed to win Ligue One, as Lille pipped them to the title by one point. Reports suggest that Pochettino is unhappy with things behind the scenes at the club from France’s capital.
PSG want to keep Pochettino, despite the failure to win the league title. He also has a year left on his current contract, so it won’t be easy to prise him away.
A return to Tottenham just 18 months after he was sacked would seem a strange one. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has reportedly admitted that he made a mistake in firing the 49-year-old and hiring Jose Mourinho as his replacement.
The reason a return to Spurs would seem like a strange move is that he was hardly backed in the transfer market and lost the players.
The squad is still basically the players he left behind, with a few additions. In his five years at the club, he had a net spend of around £100million, which in terms of spending for a Premier League club is chicken feed.
He will surely seek assurances that he will receive bigger backing if he returns.
Then there is the Harry Kane issue, as the England star wants to leave the north London club. Whether the return of Pochettino as head coach would change the forward’s mind on a move is unclear.

The majority of Tottenham fans would no doubt welcome Pochettino’s return, though. The fact that his family are still in London is an obvious pull for the Argentinian. A return to Spurs still seems like a backward step for the highly-rated head coach.
