There may still be a week left of the January transfer window, but we have already seen a number of high-profile moves across Europe.

Moussa Dembele (Lyon to Atletico Madrid), Luka Jovic (Real Madrid to Eintracht Frankfurt) and Willian Jose (Real Sociedad to Wolves) have all made mid-season loan switches, but what are the biggest transfer fees of the January transfer window so far?

    • Sebastien Haller – West Ham United to Ajax (€22.50m)

It’s fair to say that Sebastien Haller failed to make an impression at West Ham. The forward joined the Hammers for €50 million back in 2019, yet he only managed to score 14 goals in 53 appearances for the London club.

However, the 26-year-old has already hit the ground running with Ajax. The giant striker notched up one goal and three assists in his first four appearances for the Dutch side. West Ham fans will surely be wondering where it all went wrong.

    • Amad Diallo – Atalanta to Manchester United (€21.00m)

Amad Diallo only made five first-team appearances for Atalanta, although that was clearly enough for Man Utd to pay the Italians €21 million to acquire his services.

Having bagged 23 goals and six assists in 41 games for Atalanta U17, as well as 13 goals and 15 assists in 46 outings for Atalanta Primavera, the 18-year-old is obviously a special talent. Can he make an instant impact at Old Trafford?

    • Dominik Szoboszlai – Red Bull Salzburg to RB Leipzig (€20.00m)

It felt like Dominik Szoboszlai was on the radar of just about every major European club leading up to the January transfer window. However, RB Leipzig ultimately won the race to sign the highly-rated Hungarian.

Szoboszlai has already racked up nine goals and 11 assists for Red Bull Salzburg this season. Leipzig will now be hoping that he can replace the goals of the departed Timo Werner.

    • Krepin Diatta – Club Brugge to AS Monaco (€20.00m)

After starting the 2020/21 campaign in flying form, it is hardly surprising that Krepin Diatta was attracting plenty of attention. In the end, Monaco paid Club Brugge €20 million for the 21-year-old winger.

The Senegal international scored ten goals in 19 Jupiler Pro League appearances before making the switch to Ligue 1. At just 21, Diatta already has 16 international caps. Needless to say, big things are expected.

    • Geoffrey Kondogbia – Valencia to Atletico Madrid (€15.00m)

Over the past few years, Geoffrey Kondogbia has established himself as one of the best defensive midfielders in Europe. Having made over 100 appearances for Valencia, Atletico Madrid snapped up the French-born Central African Republic international.

Diego Simeone’s side have been nothing short of sensational this term, especially in defence. Kondogbia will only bolster Simeone’s defensive options.
