Of course, we all want to know who has bagged the most goals and assists. But which players have won the most tackles in the Premier League this season?

• Christian Norgaard – Brentford (29)

Brentford’s Christian Norgaard has won the most tackles in the Premier League this season.

The Danish midfielder has started every league game for the Bees this term, playing the entire 90 minutes on ten occasions.

Best known for his tireless work rate and ball-winning skills, Norgaard has been pivotal to Brentford’s impressive start to top-flight life.

• Allan – Everton (28)

Allan comes in just behind Norgaard on this list, having won just one tackle less than the Brentford midfielder.

Just like Norgaard, Allan has started all 11 of Everton’s Premier League games this season – dominating his opponents in the middle of the park.

Although the Toffees head into the international break on a five-match winless run, Allan’s commitment to the cause cannot be questioned.

• Mohammed Salisu – Southampton (24)

After making a name for himself in the previous campaign, Mohammed Salisu has become a key figure for Southampton this term.

The no-nonsense centre-back has started every single game for the Saints this season, winning 24 tackles along the way.

Given his combative approach, you may not be surprised to learn that only two players have received more yellow cards than Salisu in the Premier League this term.

• Nelson Semedo – Wolves (22)

Despite playing one game less than the three players above, Nelson Semedo has still managed to completed a respectable 22 tackles this season.

The Wolves wing-back has slotted in nicely to Bruno Lage’s system and is a threat both in attack and defence.

Semedo made over 100 appearances for Barcelona between 2017 and 2020. Having learned his trade at Camp Nou, he is now shining in the Premier League.

• Wilfred Ndidi – Leicester (22)

Believe it or not, Wilfred Ndidi has only featured in seven Premier League games this term. Still, only three players have won more tackles than him.

That means the Leicester midfielder is averaging 3.14 tackles per game, while Norgaard is averaging 2.64 tackles per game.

Just imagine how many tackles Ndidi would have made had he been available for every match this season!
