With the second international break of the season here and the final one of 2023 taking place across the next week, we’ve put together the must-watch games ahead of the last few matches at the Euro 2024 qualifiers.

    Denmark vs Kazakhstan

Denmark have some work to do in Group H, which is easily the most chaotic group of the campaign.

In fact, the top two, Denmark and Slovenia, are tied on 13 points and the same goals difference, while Finland and Kazakhstan are both on 12 outside of the qualification positions.

A win here would no doubt be the biggest of the campaign for either nation.

    Spain vs Scotland

Scotland have stunned Europe this qualifying campaign with an unbeaten run that has seen them win all five games, let in just one goal and score 10.

In fact, in a group consisting of Spain and Norway, they have all but secured qualification already with an eight-point gap on third-placed Norway.

One of those wins saw them beat Spain 2-0 at Hampden Park, as Scott McTominay scored a brace.

    England vs Italy

A carbon copy of the Euro 2020 final takes place for the second meeting in Group C between England and Italy two years on from the Italians’ famous win at Wembley.

England did get revenge over Italy for that Euro 2020 final loss, as they won 2-1 in Rome where Harry Kane became England’s all-time top scorer.

England can all but secure qualification here too, as they could extend their lead at the top to nine points with three games left. Italy are also level on points with Ukraine and North Macedonia and must avoid a loss.

    The Netherlands vs France

Two giants of the European scene meet in what is easily the biggest game of the campaign for either team, as France head to the Netherlands.

Both teams are likely to qualify for Euro 2024, but this game will be the chance to set up top spot in Group B too.

The Netherlands are sitting six points adrift of France, but a win would move them to within three before they play their game in hand.

It is also a must-win for the Dutch, given how Greece are right behind them on the same points.

    Wales vs Croatia

It could be the last chance saloon for Wales when they welcome Croatia to Cardiff on Sunday.

Heading into this game, the country are sitting down in fourth and with just a three-point gap on Croatia at the top of the table.

The latter does, however, have a game in hand to play, and with Turkey sitting three clear of them too, a loss here with just three more games left to play could spell the end of their positivity.

At the same time, a win for Croatia would all but qualify them for Euro 2024.
