Tottenham Hotspur endured a 2022-23 campaign to forget, with Antonio Conte, Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason all failing to prevent an eighth-place finish.

Having guided Celtic to five trophies in two seasons, Ange Postecoglou has been tasked with picking up the pieces at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Following years of instability, Spurs will be desperate to break back into the top four in 2023-24.
Tottenham recorded their lowest Premier League ranking since 2007-08 last term, finishing all the way down in 8th place.
After achieving seven top four finishes between 2009-10 and 2021-22, Spurs slipped to new lows last season.
Following the departure of Antonio Conte in March, Cristian Stellini spent less than a month in charge as interim manager before Ryan Mason ended the campaign in the dugout. However, the team’s performances remained the same.
Spurs lost 14 of their 38 Premier League games last season, suffering more defeats than eight teams in the division.
It is worth noting, however, that only four sides scored more goals than Tottenham’s 70 in 2022-23.
It goes without saying that Harry Kane is Tottenham’s key player, as the club legend has chalked up 280 goals and 64 assists in 435 appearances for Spurs.
However, there are question marks over the future of the England captain.
By his own high standards, Son Heung-min experienced a disappointing 2022-23 campaign, scoring only 10 Premier League goals after sharing the Golden Boot with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah in 2021-22.
Naturally, Postecoglou will aim to help Son rediscover his best form.
Not only have Spurs signed James Maddison and Guglielmo Vicario this summer, but they have also made Pedro Porro and Dejan Kulusevski’s loan deal permanent, while Manor Solomon has joined on a free transfer.
Having finished one point shy of the top seven and 11 points outside the top four last season, Tottenham Hotspur will be eager to break back into the European places in 2023-24.
Ange Postecoglou made a name for himself in Scotland, but the Australian manager must now prove himself in England.
That said, his task will only get harder if Harry Kane leaves the club this summer.
