Chelsea have been one of the most active teams in the transfer market over the past six months.

Last season, Chelsea added Enzo Fernandez, Wesley Fofana, Mykhaylo Mudryk, Marc Cucurella, Raheem Sterling, Benoît Badiashile, Kalidou Koulibaly, Noni Madueke, Malo Gusto, Carney Chukwuemeka, and David Datro Fofana, many of which joined in the January transfer window at great expense.

There has already been plenty of movement in the summer transfer window at Stamford Bridge and despite already having Mykhaylo Mudryk, Raheem Sterling, Noni Madueke, David Datro Fofana, Christian Pulisic, Armando Broja, Hakim Ziyech, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Romelu Lukaku competing for a place in the attacking positions, both Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson have joined the club.

The deals for Nkunku and Jackson come to a combined total of £90 million and add to an area of the squad that is already brimming with players.

Chelsea will try and offload some of their players during the summer and may have to settle for cut-price deals as clubs will know they need to sell players to reduce the size of their squad.

No squad needs to have the number of forward players currently on the books at Chelsea and other teams will be circling, hoping to take players from Stamford Bridge at bargain prices.

Romelu Lukaku returns to Chelsea following a loan spell at Inter Milan.

The Belgian striker scored 14 goals for Inter Milan in all competitions last season and it will be interesting to see if Lukaku features in the plans of Mauricio Pochettino.

Jackson is an interesting addition and with many teams, including Manchester United, in the hunt for a new striker, £32 million does not seem expensive.

However, Jackson is only 22 years of age and he played just 34 games in La Liga for Villarreal, scoring 12 goals, before joining Chelsea.

It is believed Chelsea have handed the Senegal striker an 8 year contract and it is not the first time the club have agreed such a long deal for a player.

Jackson finished last season in fantastic goal scoring form and it will be interesting to see how he settles into his role at Chelsea.

Mudryk, Madueke, and Fofana struggled to make an impression having joined in January so there will be pressure on Jackson to make a good start to the season.

Nkunku arrives as a player who is expected to go straight into the starting XI and produce the goods.

The French international scored 47 goals in 119 Bundesliga appearances for RB Leipzig and registered 43 assists, giving him a total of 90 goal contributions.

That is a tremendous record and it will be interesting to see how he adapts to the Premier League.

There is no doubting the talent at the disposal of Pochettino but can he blend the team together and keep everyone happy? Will he and the young players who have arrived at Stamford Bridge be given the time to succeed?
