The Tottenham Hotspur star scored the first of his nine Boxing Day goals against Leicester City in 2014. He bagged a brace against Norwich City the following year before netting a hat-trick against Southampton in 2017.
Following goals against Bournemouth (2018), Brighton & Hove Albion (2019) and Crystal Palace (2021), it’s safe to say that Kane enjoys playing – and scoring – on Boxing Day.
Robbie Fowler is the only other player to have scored nine Boxing Days goals in the history of the Premier League. Interestingly, seven of his nine Boxing Day goals came away from home.
The former Liverpool and Manchester City striker even scored a Boxing Day hat-trick, firing Leeds United to a 3-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers back in 2001.
Alan Shearer sits atop the Premier League’s all-time scoring charts, having netted 260 goals in 441 games. Funnily enough, eight of his 260 Premier League goals were scored on Boxing Day.
While playing for Blackburn Rovers, the Newcastle United legend scored on back-to-back Boxing Days in 1994 and 1995 – opening the scoring against Man City on both occasions. Talk about the magic of Christmas!
Like Shearer, Robbie Keane has eight Boxing Day goals to his name. The ex-Republic of Ireland striker scored the first of his Boxing Day goals all the way back in 1999, when Coventry City claimed a shock 3-2 victory over Arsenal.
After finding the net against Charlton (2002), Norwich (2004) and Birmingham City (2005), Keane bagged braces against Fulham (2007) and Bolton (2008) – cementing his status as one of the Premier League’s greatest Boxing Day scorers.
Thierry Henry scored countless memorable goals throughout his time in the Premier League. On Boxing Day 2000, he bagged a hat-trick and two assists as Arsenal thrashed Leicester 6-1.
After scoring against West Bromwich Albion in 2002, the Gunners legend netted a brace against Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2003 before scoring against Fulham in 2004. That’s seven Boxing Day goals in just five years!
