Everton were dumped out of the FA Cup on the weekend at Millwall. Having led twice in the match it was a hugely disappointing result for the Toffees against a team struggling at the bottom half of the Championship table.
That result means Everton have lost each of their last two games, the other being away to Southampton in the Premier League. Trends show they have lost five of their last seven matches in the Premier League and have won three of their last twelve games in all competitions, one of which was at home to Lincoln City in the FA Cup.
Away form in the Premier League shows just one win in the last seven and Everton have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their last five away games.
Looking ahead to the team news and Huddersfield have Philip Billing and Aaron Mooy back in training but may have to wait until next week. Daniel Williams and Abdelhamid Sabiri are definitely out.
Everton are still without Phil Jagielka and the experienced defender is not likely to return until February. Cenk Tosun will be hoping to start having come off the bench to score at Millwall on the weekend.
Neither team are in good form and although Huddersfield have the boost of a new manager, Everton have the superior talent in their team. If their key players perform, Everton should come away with the points in what could be a narrow win.
